• Darren Gottlieb: Managing Partner & Senior Portfolio Manager – Darren Gottlieb has successfully managed alternative investment strategies in Canada for the last decade. Darren’s capital markets career began in investment banking in the late 1990’s at BMO Nesbitt Burns. In 2002, Darren transitioned his career from investment banking and joined TD Securities’ Alternative Strategies Group where he focussed on long/short and event driven investment opportunities, including M&A arbitrage.
  
  In early 2005, he joined Toronto-based investment company Royal Capital Management as Manager, Hedged Investments, where he successfully managed an investment strategy identical to Vantage’s current strategy. 
  
  In 2009, he co-founded Vantage Asset Management with Mark Tredgett and the investment strategy was re-launched under the Vantage banner on March 1st of 2010. Concurrent with the re-launch, the strategy was made available to external capital for the first time.
  
  Darren Gottlieb holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School.
