Joanna Ong is a Portfolio Manager in the Investment Solutions team and is responsible for the management of global multi asset funds for Prudential across Asia, as well as external investment strategies. Joanna Ong joined Eastspring Investments as Credit Manager in the Fixed Income team, in June 2000, where she was involved in the management of the Fixed Income and Multi Asset funds for our Life Insurance clients in the region. Following the formal creation in 2007 of the dedicated Multi Asset Investment Solutions Team (formerly named the Global Asset Allocation team), Joanna has since been a key member of this team. She is responsible for the generation of investment views following the team’s balance of indicators approach to tactical asset allocation. Joanna is also involved in the Strategic Asset Allocation Advisory for our Life Insurance clients in the region, ensuring these funds are able to achieve their long-term target returns and operating within acceptable risk parameters. Prior to joining Eastspring Investments, Joanna worked for Bank Austria Creditanstalt International as a Deputy Manager in the Risk Management Division. Prior to that, she was an Audit Senior with Arthur Andersen. Joanna has over 22 years of financial industry experience. Joanna holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and is a CFA charterholder.
Nupur Gupta is a Global Macro Strategist within the Investment Solutions team and is responsible for global economic research and investment scenario analysis. Nupur contributes to the team’s investment performance by forming top down strategy and macro analysis and implications for asset allocation. Nupur joined Eastspring Investments as Global Macro Strategist in May 2019. Nupur brings a wealth of economic and equity strategy experience from Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Most recently, Nupur was the India and Southeast Asia economist for Goldman Sachs. Prior to that, she worked as a European equity and quant strategist for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Nupur holds an M.Phil in Economics from Nuffield College, University of Oxford, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
