Mr. Slaughter joined Oak Ridge Investments in 2012 and is responsible for company research and analysis. Prior to his position with Oak Ridge, Mr. Slaughter was President of SMSV Advisory Services, Inc. which he co-founded in 2009. Immediately prior to SMSV, Slaughter was a Senior Vice President, Business Initiatives and Market Analytics, at Elan Pharmaceuticals Inc., of Dublin, Ireland. At Elan, he was responsible for orchestrating the firm’s $1.4B Alzheimer’s Immunotherapy alliance with Johnson & Johnson. Prior to Elan, Slaughter spent 8 years in health care investing as a Managing Director and Senior Investment Analyst at UBS Global Asset Management (formerly Brinson Partners) in Chicago and directed approximately $25 billion in Health Care investments in US and global equity portfolios. Mr. Slaughter graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame, with a BS in Biology, and with honors from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University with a Masters of Management Degree.
